Vogellokding

Vogellokding-in-situ

I can only enjoy nature through my window, Gustave Flaubert. Various locations, 2002 – now

The ‘Vogellokding’ (bird-lure-thing) consists of a branch, a cup and a small frame to be stuck on the window. Filled with rainwater the cup offers birds a drinking place. Once landed on the branch, the framed bird, seen from the inside, forms a true ‘tableau vivant’ (still life).

Vogellokding is part of the permanent collection of Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam and Droog Design.
